Kohima, Aug. 15 -- Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today said resolving the Naga political issue remained the state government's highest priority.
Addressing the 79th Independence Day celebration at Nagaland civil secretariat here, Rio described the peace process as "a symbol of hope".
He said the state government has been playing the role of an active facilitator between all the stakeholders for a peaceful resolution of the Naga issue.
Rio also highlighted the progress made in discussions on the Frontier Nagaland Territory in the latest tripartite talks between the Government of India, Nagaland government and the Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation (ENPO) in Delhi on July 23.
