Mumbai, Feb. 7 -- The resident doctors on Wednesday withdrew its proposed strike after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar assured that their demands have been accepted.

Under the chairmanship of Pawar, a meeting was held to discuss demands of the Central MARD Organisation in his hall in Mantralaya.

Following which, the Deputy Chief Minister said that all the demands of the resident doctors have been accepted and appealed them to withdraw their proposed strike.

He assured resident doctors that their tuition fees would be paid regularly on a fixed date every month along with a substantial increase of Rs 10,000 in tuition fees.
