Imphal, Jan. 26 -- Republic day was celebrated in the state amid a boycott call by militants. Governor Dr Najma Heptulla unfurled the tricolour at Kangla and took salute of the contingents which took part in the march past.
The parade participated by Manipur Police, women battalion, home guard, traffic, students and various cultural organisations started from 1st Manipur Rifles parade ground, passed through Kangla, main road around Kangla before converging at the parade ground.
