New Delhi, Jan. 26 -- Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of Republic Day, stressing that the Constitution remains the strongest safeguard of the rights, freedoms and dignity of every Indian.

In a message shared on her X handle, Priyanka Gandhi recalled the significance of January 26, the day the Constitution of India came into force in 1950, laying the foundation of the country as a democratic republic.

"Aaj ke din hamara Samvidhan lagu hua tha, jo har ek Bharatiya ko swatantrata, samanta, nyay aur bandhutva jaise moolyon ki guarantee deta hai," she said.
