Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 6 -- Kerala is witnessing a disturbing pattern of National Highway (NH) collapses, raising serious concerns about construction standards and governance.

"Just days ago, a girder collapse in Alappuzha claimed the life of a worker. Soon after, a retaining wall failure at Kottiyam in Kollam caused part of a service road to cave in, narrowly avoiding what could have been a major tragedy," said VD Satheesan, Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly.
