Washington, Dec. 10 -- The International Contact Group for the Great Lakes (ICG) has expressed "deep concern" over the renewed outbreak of violence in South Kivu, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), warning that the offensive by the March 23 Movement (M23), supported by Rwanda, poses a severe risk to civilian populations and threatens to destabilize the entire region.
The group also highlighted the alarming use of attack and suicide drones in the conflict, marking a significant escalation.
