Chennai, Aug. 13 -- French auto major Renault on Tuesday
announced that it will launch two new models, including an
electric car 'Triber' in India by 2022.
Talking to reporters here Renault India Operations Country
CEO and Managing Director Venkatram Mamillapalle said the
company would enter the Electric Vehicle segment by 2022.
He said bookings for its new car "Triber' would commence
from August 17 and the formal launch would take place on
August 22.
The company also launch another car now code named 'HBC'
by then.
Mr Mamillapalle said the company was planning to sell about
7,000 Tribers per month and expects it would be a big success
like 'Duster'.
It would be priced attractively and create a new segment in
the market.
