Kasaragod, Nov. 27 -- A remand prisoner was found dead at the Kasaragod special sub jail on Wednesday. His relatives have demanded a thorough investigation.
According to reports, Mubasheer (30) son of Kunhuabdulla and Hajira of Deli in Chemnad grama Panchayat, was taken to the Kasaragod District hospital around 0500 AM, after he complained of uneasiness.
However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Mubasheer had been arrested by the Vidya Nagar police on November 5, on his arrival from abroad in connection with a POCSO case registered in 2016 and was later remanded to judicial custody at the sub jail after medical examination.
The family members have sought a detailed probe into the incident.
