Remains of 16 WW2 soldiers buried at serpeni memorial complex in Moldova
Chisinau, May 2 (UNI/SPUTNIK) Moldovan politicians, diplomats from the embassies of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as World War II veterans, attended the burial service held on Saturday at the Serpeni Memorial Complex in Moldova for 16 soldiers who died liberating Moldova from Nazi invaders, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.The remains were found in August at the sites where fierce battles took place in the spring and summer of 1944.Members of the Party of Socialists and the Party of Communists of Moldova, as well as opposition lawmakers, public figures and ordinary citizens attended the burial ceremony together with Moldovan veterans and Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh diplomats."All the 16 young men to whom we paid our final r...
