Bhupalpally, Dec. 28 -- Communist Party of India (CPI) Telangana State Secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao on Sunday alleged that the country was facing grave danger due to the rise of religious fanaticism and corporate-driven policies of the BJP-led union government.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a public meeting held for the unveiling of a grand pylon to mark the centenary celebrations of the Communist Party of India in Bhupalpally.
Kunamneni said poverty and unemployment had doubled since the Modi government came to power and claimed that the number of homeless poor had increased sharply. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of focusing solely on corporate interests while neglecting the welfare of the poor.
