Bengaluru, Nov. 17 -- The Karnataka government should have first released flood relief from the state treasury before seeking aid from the Centre, BJP national former general secretary and Legislative Council member CT Ravi said here on Monday.
He emphasised that former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and other past chief ministers had followed this practice, noting that the Centre provides assistance under NDRF guidelines only after survey assessments.
Speaking to the media, Ravi stressed that the Prime Minister and Chief Minister hold constitutional positions, and their interactions should not be viewed politically.
