Lucknow, Jan. 6 -- The Chowk police on Monday arrested the relatives of a doctor accused in a "love jihad" case registered at King George's Medical University (KGMU), after their alleged involvement was found during the investigation.
The case was registered on the complaint of an MD Pathology student at KGMU, who accused her senior doctor, Rameezuddin Nayak alias Rameez, of deceiving her with a false promise of marriage.
According to the FIR, the accused established physical relations with her, forced her to undergo an abortion without her consent, and coerced her into religious conversion.
