Jeddah/New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- Veteran actress Rekha was honoured with the Red Sea Honouree Award at the international premiere of the newly restored version of Muzaffar Ali's classic 'Umrao Jaan' (1981) during the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah.

The festival's Instagram shared a video of Rekha's speech, captioning it: "We were honored to hear from the legendary Rekha, a rare and unforgettable moment at the Red Sea International Film Festival. Her presence lit up the room as she reflected on a remarkable career that has shaped generations of Indian cinema."The post added that the recognition coincided with the screening of the restored classic as part of the festival's Treasures programme, attended by director Muzaffar Ali.
