New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved a comprehensive road redevelopment project worth Rs 802 crore. Under the project, more than 241 major roads spanning nearly 400 kilometres across 45 Assembly constituencies will be upgraded using advanced technology.
The CM said the initiative is being implemented with strong financial support from the Central Government and described it as a major step toward making Delhi safer, more organised and future-ready.
All identified stretches will be developed under a 'wall-to-wall carpeting' model to ensure uniform strengthening across the full width of roads rather than partial resurfacing.
