Register criminal cases against spurious seeds sellers: Andhra officials told

Eluru, Feb. 7 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar on Saturday directed the officials concerned to register cases against those who sell spurious and poor quality seeds to the farmers under the Public Distribution Act.

The Civil Supplies Minister, flanked by Housing Minister K Parthasarathy and district Collector K Vetri Selvi, held a meeting with the officials and reviewed various issues.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister told the officials to take firm action against those who sell spurious and poor-quality seeds, stating that no farmer should incur loss because of the seeds.
