New Delhi, Nov. 11 -- The high-intensity explosion that ripped through a car near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening, killing at least ten people and injuring 24 others, led to a massive blaze in which six cars, two e-rickshaws, and one autorickshaw were completely gutted.

The intensity of the blast, which occurred during a busy evening when the area was crowded, led to shattering of the window panes of vehicles parked nearby.

The sound of the blast carried all the way to ITO, several kilometres away.

Footage from the scene showed fire rising from the burning vehicles and thick plumes of smoke.

Following the powerful blast, panic spread as several vehicles were damaged at the site.
