Shimla, July 5 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh on July 6, urging people and the administration to take precautionary measures as the monsoon intensifies across the state.
As per the morning bulletin released by the Meteorological Centre in Shimla, the state will continue to witness widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning activity from July 5 to July 11, with varying degrees of intensity.
A very high rainfall warning has been sounded for July 6, while heavy rainfall is expected to persist in isolated places from July 7 to July 11 under yellow and orange alerts.
