Srinagar, Aug. 8 -- Panic has gripped Kashmir after authorities seized over 3,000 kilograms of rotten and unsafe meat from multiple districts over the last week, sparking widespread outrage and calls for strict action.
While Kashmir's chief cleric, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, demanded immediate accountability and harsh punishment for those involved, the J&K government has intensified its crackdown, ordering enforcement teams to root out adulterated meat across the Union Territory.
Mirwaiz said that those involved in supplying rotten meat must be held fully accountable and strictly penalised and punished as per law without delay.
