New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- A Special CBI Court in Ghaziabad has sentenced a recovery agent from Punjab National Bank (PNB) to 23 months in jail for demanding a bribe from a man.
The agent had promised to influence the Branch Manager to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for his Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convicted agent, Dharmveer Singh.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the case on September 14, 2022, following allegations that the accused recovery agent and an aide from Sadabad, Hathras, had demanded the bribe.
