Patna, Jan. 7 -- Bihar Planning and Development Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav today said that the state has recorded an impressive increase in agricultural production during the 2024-25 crop year, along with progress in rural infrastructure projects.
Yadav told news persons here that rice production in Bihar reached 9,934.02 metric tonnes in 2024-25 recording an increase of 4.32 percent compared to last year, placing Bihar at the fifth position in the country.
He said maize production stood at 6,602.96 metric tonnes, showing a strong 12.58 percent growth over the previous year. With this, Bihar secured the second position at the national level, he claimed.
