Lucknow, Dec. 23 -- The positive impact of the Yogi Adityanath government's policies regarding the admission of economically weaker and underprivileged children to private schools under the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE) is clearly visible in Uttar Pradesh now.
In the last five years, a continuous record increase has been registered in the number of children admitted to private schools under the RTE. So far, more than 1.40 lakh children have been admitted in the 2025-26 academic year. Moreover, the number of admissions has more than doubled in the last five years.
