Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today requested the Human Resource Development Ministry to prevail upon the Central Board of Seconday Education to reconsider their decision to hike the examination fee of Class X and XII students.

In a letter Mr Patnaik requested the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to look into the matter personally and do the need ful. The Chief Minister said CBSE has recently hiked the examination fee of Class X and XII students causing resentment among parents and other shareholders. The abnormal rise of the fees in respect of SC/ST students by 24 times has come as a shock.
