Pune, July 13 -- The inclusion of 12 forts associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the 'Maratha Military Landscape' category is a proud moment not only for Maharashtra but for the entire nation, said Deepak Mankar, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) today.
Mankar expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, and Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar for their efforts in making this historic recognition possible.
