Bengaluru, Feb. 22 -- Former BJP MLA Kumar Bangarappa on Saturday reaffirmed that the rebel faction within the Karnataka BJP remains resolute in contesting the state President's post, insisting that a leadership change is imminent.
"We have not withdrawn our decision. If an election is held, our candidate will contest. The state President (Vijayendra Yediyurappa) will be replaced for sure," Bangarappa asserted.
He mentioned that the faction had apprised the central party leadership of the prevailing political dynamics in Karnataka and remained steadfast in its stand.
"We are not stepping back. The arrival date of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is overseeing the Karnataka state President election, has not been finalised yet....
