Mumbai, May 26 -- Maharashtra Disaster Management Minister Girish Mahajan on Monday reviewed the situation arising due to heavy rains in the state and said the system is ready to efficiently handle the emergency.

Mahajan visited the State Emergency Operation Centre and took information from the officials concerned.

He said the system is ready 24x7 to efficiently handle the emergency situation.

Disaster Management Director Satish Kumar Khadke briefed the Minister about the situation. Disaster Management Department officials were present on this occasion.
