New Delhi, March 25 -- A consortium of leading Indian and international investors has acquired full ownership of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise in a deal valued at approximately USD 1.78 billion (about Rs 16,660 crore), marking one of the most significant transactions in franchise sports.

The sale was confirmed by United Spirits Limited (USL), which previously owned the team in both the Indian Premier League and the Women's Premier League.
