RCB bowl first as Shepherd replaces Livingstone
Chandigarh, April 20 -- West Indian allrounder Romario Shepherd was drafted into the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) playing XI in place of Liam Livingstone as the visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first against Punjab Kings in Match 37 of the IPL 2025 at the Yadvindra Singh International Stadium here on Sunday.
RCB skipper Rajat Patidar said the decision to field was made keeping in mind the nature of the surface. "Wicket looks decent, won't change much. Batting second will give more clarity about the game and the wicket," he said. On the team change, Patidar confirmed, "Shepherd comes in for Livi. We're not looking at venues, just trying to play good cricket."
