Los Angeles, Oct. 30 -- Emmy-winning actor and comedian Ray Romano has joined the cast of hit basketball comedy "Running Point" for its second season, taking on a major recurring part opposite Kate Hudson.
Romano will portray Coach Norm Stinson, described as a once-brilliant basketball mind who has since retreated from the world. He rediscovers his passion for the game and life through an unexpected partnership with Isla Gordon (Hudson).
Romano replaces Robert Townsend who was originally cast in the role. The Norm character has been reconceived, with reshoots currently underway.
