Mumbai, Dec. 27 -- : Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of dividing Mumbai, claiming that the party has consistently fought elections based on religion and regionalism.
Addressing the media on Saturday, Raut asserted that for his party, Mumbai remains united and is the capital of the state. He added, "The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) will be part of the alliance between Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections."He clarified that all the seats demanded by the Sharad Pawar faction have been allotted to them and that there are no issues within the alliance regarding this arrangement.
