Mamit, Oct. 17 -- The first round of EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) randomisation for the upcoming Dampa Assembly constituency bye-election has been successfully completed, markinga significant step towards ensuring a free and fair election.
The randomisation, conducted by the District Election Officer (DEO), took place in the presence of representatives from various national and state-recognised political parties.
The process, which was carried out using the EVM Management System (EMS), saw the allocation of 82 EVM ballot units (BUs), control units (CUs), and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) for each of the 41 polling stations in the constituency.
