Ranchi, Feb. 1 -- Ranchi Police on Saturday carried out a strong deterrent action against traffic rule violators by crushing hundreds of seized modified silencers and pressure horns with a road roller, sending a stern message to motorists creating public nuisance in the Jharkhand capital.
The crackdown was undertaken as part of an ongoing traffic awareness and enforcement drive by Ranchi Police, aimed at curbing noise pollution and ensuring safer roads. Vehicles fitted with pressure horns and modified silencers, in violation of prescribed traffic norms, were identified during checks conducted over the past several days, and the illegal devices were confiscated.
