Ranchi, Nov. 29 -- A day before the India-South Africa ODI match at the JSCA International Stadium, Ranchi Police intensified action against black marketing of match tickets and arrested three individuals involved in illegal resale.

Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Dhurwa Police Station conducted raids and caught the accused red-handed with 13 tickets of various denominations.

According to police sources, the operation was led by Dhurwa Police Station in-charge Vimal Kindo. The arrest comes as a major blow to ticket scalpers attempting to exploit the massive demand for the high-profile match scheduled for November 30.
