Ranchi, Sept. 23 -- Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC), in collaboration with NGOs WVS Hope and Animal Welfare Organization, is accelerating its street dog sterilization and vaccination campaign.
The initiative aims not only to control the rapidly growing population of street dogs but also to prevent the spread of dangerous diseases such as rabies.
As part of the ongoing efforts on Monday, September 22, 2025, 10 street dogs were sterilized through surgical procedures.
In Ward Nos. 02 and 43, 11 street dogs were captured for sterilization and medical treatment, while 40 dogs received vaccinations.
Additionally, complaints regarding street dogs from the Namkum Army Camp area were addressed.
