Ranchi, Sept. 7 -- A land dealer was shot dead in broad daylight here in Jharkhand this evening, while another person, identified as Balma, sustained critical injuries in the attack.
According to police sources, the deceased was near Birsa Chowk under Ratu police station area when a group of assailants suddenly opened indiscriminate fire, killing him on the spot.
Balma, who was also caught in the firing, sustained a bullet injury in his mouth, which got lodged in his jaw. He was rushed to CHC Ratu hospital and later referred to a higher medical centre as his condition remains critical.
