Ranchi, Oct. 23 -- The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has intensified its efforts to ensure a clean, encroachment-free, and well-managed city. Administrator Sushant Gaurav has directed officials to launch an anti-encroachment drive to free major roads, intersections, and public areas from illegal occupation.

Strict action will be taken against violators, and no leniency will be tolerated in cases of unauthorised construction or obstruction on public property, Gaurav said.

The RMC has also decided to impose tough penalties on those dumping construction and demolition (C&D) waste or spreading filth along city roads. All shopkeepers have been instructed to maintain two separate dustbins for waste segregation, failing which they will face...
