Ranchi, Sept. 26 -- With Durga Puja pandals opening to large crowds in the capital, the Ranchi district administration and police have made extensive security arrangements to ensure peaceful celebrations.

More than 2,500 personnel, including district police, JAP, RAP, CRPF, and RAF, have been deployed across the city. Male and female officers have been stationed at major pandals and surrounding areas, while plainclothes police have been assigned to monitor suspicious activity.

Special security teams have been posted in sensitive zones, with continuous patrolling in markets, intersections, and isolated areas.

Drone surveillance will also be used around key pandals.
