Ranchi, Sept. 27 -- Ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations in Jharkhand's capital, the Ranchi administration has stepped up security measures to ensure a peaceful and safe festival.
IG Ranchi Zone, Manoj Kaushik, chaired a security review meeting at the Senior Superintendent of Police office, attended by senior police officers and DSPs from rural and urban areas.
Key discussions focused on pandal security, traffic management, crowd control, women's safety, and social media monitoring.
Sensitive areas have been identified for the deployment of additional police personnel, supported by drone and CCTV surveillance.
Over 5,000 police personnel, along with two companies of Central Armed Police Forces, have been deployed.
