Ranchi, Dec. 18 -- Jharkhand BJP president and Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi today accused the Congress of misleading the public over the National Herald case, terming the party's protest a reflection of what he described as political and moral exhaustion.

Speaking to the media here, Marandi said the Congress was indulging in "baseless rhetoric" to obscure alleged corruption.

He maintained that the recent order of the Rouse Avenue Court did not grant a clean chit to Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi.

"The court has only stated that no FIR has been registered at this stage, while clearly holding that the matter remains under consideration and that the trial will continue," he said.
