Chennai, March 21 -- Ramzan (Eid-ul-Fitr) was celebrated by the Muslims in Tamil Nadu on Saturday with traditional gaiety and fervour.
Special Niskars were held in all the mosques with the Big Mosque in Triplicane witnessed a large congregation for Special prayers.
The Muslim exchanged pleasantries with the friends, relatives and family members and distributedalms.
Tamil Nadu Governor R V Arlekar, Chief Minister M K Stalin, Leaders of various political parties, including allies of the ruling DMK like Congress, MDMK, VCK, DMDK, MNM, IUML, MMK, and those from the AIADMK, BJP, PMK, AMMK, TMC, and other parties greeted the Muslims on the occasion.
