Patna, June 23 -- Congress on Monday alleged that the quality of bridges in Bihar was badly affected due to rampant corruption and a large number bridges had collapsed last year, "failing to sustain the burden of corruption in the state".

Leader of Congress legislature party in Bihar Assembly Shakeel Ahmad Khan told media persons here that the quality of bridges was severely compromised due to rampant corruption in Bihar. A large number bridges had collapsed last year which was the result of nexus between officials and contractors engaged in looting public funds, he added.
