Narayanpet, Feb. 10 -- BJP Telangana State President N Ramchandra Rao on Tuesday visited Maktal in Narayanpet district to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the suicide of BJP Ward No. 6 councillor candidate and tribal youth Erukala Mahadevappa.
He met the bereaved family, spoke to local residents and party workers, and gathered details firsthand.
Addressing the media after his visit, Ramchandra Rao said the incident had deeply disturbed him. He alleged that Mahadevappa had been facing continuous harassment and threats from leaders of the ruling party for some time.
