Lucknow, May 15 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday reacted sharply to the controversial statement made by Samajwadi Party's (SP) national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav on Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and said that Army uniform is not seen through 'casteist glasses'.
Taking to X, Yogi wrote, "The army uniform is not viewed through the lens of 'casteism.' Every soldier of the Indian Army upholds 'national duty,' not representing any caste or religion. The attempt by the National General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party to confine a brave daughter within the boundaries of caste not only displays their party's narrow-minded thinking but is also a gross insult to the army's valor and the nation's pride."
