Akola, Sept. 20 -- Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait on Friday hit out at the central and Maharashtra governments, alleging that faulty policies have pushed cultivators into distress and driven the highest number of farmer suicides in Vidarbha.
Tikait said farmers were still not receiving the assured Minimum Support Price (MSP) and announced that the issue would soon be taken to the Supreme Court.
Referring to the earlier farmers' agitation, he said although the three contentious farm laws were repealed, cultivators had gained little from the struggle.
"A bigger movement is needed. This time the agitation will be larger than the Delhi protest," he warned.
