New Delhi, April 1 -- The Upper House Rajya Sabha on Tuesday passed The Protection of Interests in Aircraft Objects Bill, 2025, with the Government said the new Civil Aviation legislation will result in lowering of leasing cost of planes thus in the air fares.
The Bill, passed in the Rajya Sabha by voice vote, seeks to give legal effect to international agreements in their application in India.
Replying to the discussion on the Bill, Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said proper legislation will bring in more planes in India and the advantage of this will trickle down to passengers in the country.
