Aizawl, Sept. 16 -- K. Vanlalvena, the lone Rajya Sabha member representing Mizoram, visited Sairang railway station today and urged railway officials to enhance the frequency of train services connecting Sairang with major cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati.
Additionally, he pushed for the introduction of a daily train service to Silchar in Assam's Cachar district. This visit followed the inauguration of the Bairabi-Sairang railway line by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, which also saw the launch of the Rajdhani Express service between Sairang and Delhi, alongside express services to Kolkata and Guwahati.
