Nashik, Oct. 17 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated the indigenously-made state-of-the-art Tejas fighter aircraft here today.

The first Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Mk1A on Friday successfully completed its maiden flight in Nashik in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The fighter aircraft is equipped with the ability to engage targets in all directions. The Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar enables identification and tracking of multiple targets simultaneously. The radar system is protected from enemy electronic interference.

The completely Indian-made Tejas LCA Mk1A aircraft will be inducted into the Indian Air Force.
