Mumbai, March 24 -- Vir Hirani, son of celebrated filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, is set to step into the world of cinema with a small-town romantic comedy directed by Sonali Rattan Deshmukh.
The untitled film, mounted as a warm and feel-good love story, will feature two fresh faces and is set against the backdrop of a modest Indian town. It is bankrolled by Jay Sevakramani of Northern Lights Films.
Rajkumar is widely known for blockbuster films such as the "Munna Bhai" series, "3 Idiots", "PK" and "Sanju".
While Vir has served as an assistant director on Sanju, Sonali assisted in films like "Tum Mile," "Jannat" and "Shiddat." Her directorial, "Sarvagunn Sampann" starring Vaani Kapoor is yet to be released, reports Variety India.
