Ch. Sambhajinagar, March 17 -- A total of 16 students and their families have been sanctioned financial assistance under the Rajiv Gandhi Student Accident Ex-Gratia Grant Scheme, aimed at providing compensation and a safety net to school-going children affected by accidents. The scheme, implemented through an insurance company, covers students studying from Class 1 to Class 12.
During a recent meeting held to review proposals under the scheme, approval was granted for all 16 cases. Of these, 10 beneficiaries belong to the primary education department, while six are from the secondary section. The sanctioned aid will support both the affected students and their families.
