Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 21 -- Ace journalist, author and television anchor Rajdeep Sardesai has been chosen for the Indian Media Person Award 2024-25, the highest honour instituted by the Kerala Media Academy.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will confer the award-carrying a cash prize of Rs one lakh, a citation and a sculpture-at the inaugural ceremony of the International Media Festival of Kerala 2025 here on September 30, Academy Chairman R S Babu said.
A three-member jury comprising senior journalist Thomas Jacob, media critic and former MP Dr. Sebastian Paul, and academic Dr. Meena T Pillai selected Sardesai for the honour. Previous winners include stalwarts such as N Ram, Barkha Dutt, Karan Thapar and Ravish Kumar.
