Bengaluru, Feb. 13 -- Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have appointed Rajat Patidar as their captain for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

The 31-year-old batsman, a key member since 2022, has been instrumental in RCB's campaigns.

Patidar first joined RCB in 2021 and returned in 2022 as a replacement player, delivering a breakout performance with 333 runs at a strike rate of 152.75 in 12 matches. His unbeaten 112 off 54 balls in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants remains a highlight. In 27 matches, he has scored one century and seven fifties.
